MY STORY

Once upon a time, I was born in New York City. My creativity was sparked by picture books, classic cartoons, and trips to famous art museums. I've taken art lessons from a young age, and was always a reader. So naturally, I gravitate towards art forms that involve both visual prowess and storytelling chops. I also just love to draw.

Studied at LaGuardia Arts High School, then Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. Majored in Illustration, with a Book Arts concentration, and minored in Art History. Soon returned to New York, where I have made Queens my latest home, and

often enjoy wandering the city with a sketchbook.

My college thesis delved into children's books, but I have since

shifted to comics - now exhibiting in various conventions along the East Coast. May 2014 rang in the first anniversary of Carmine Street Comics, a shop in Manhattan's West Village where I am Resident Artist, and instrumental with the Storefront Artists Program.

Eager to share the joys of creativity with others, I have been teaching drawing workshops at various local venues. I regularly accept freelance projects and special gigs, often collaborating with fellow creators, while developing numerous stories and ideas of my own that I am working to eventually complete and publish.

For the talent I possess, or success I may achieve, I thank God

who has faithfully seen me thorough both happiness and hardship. He keeps me humble, while giving incredible and boundless grace. Reflecting this love with my life and through compassion towards

the people around me is the deepest motivation for all I do.
