The Great Noveling Endeavor

Every year, for the past several years, I endeavor to write a novel in 1 month,
as part of the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) challenge.
There are many reasons and benefits, but one of the driving purposes was because I have been inventing stories my whole life, yet struggled to commit them to paper. Like with drawing and other arts, taking a new approach helped me to improve my skills while pursuing tangible goals.
From the beginning, it became something much more complex. Combined with a comics art exhibit, then a similarly seasonal inking challenge, these novel-writing efforts both revitalized existing story concepts and spontaneously generated fresh content, yielding unexpected and exciting results. More than a "novel", it is a creative intensive and interactive art experience.
This year, several prompts have caused me to reflect on what this journey has been so far -- and what comes next. For my book this November, I plan to focus on sharing the story-making process, as a personal account that can also provide insight & inspiration to anyone hoping to take on similar creative endeavors.
The goal is to create and update online content throughout the month, while meeting with writers, and finding opportunities to showcase work in person.
Possibly, setting up a Kickstarter to further share and support the project.

Reached the goal of 50,000 words! Because of that intensive push, I haven't been posting as much online, but will continue adding to this page.
Meanwhile, I have been dovetailing my writing efforts with Street Lab's WRITE activity, and hope that other writers - or anyone curious to try fun writing exercises and witness my progress so far - will join me there in the month of December.
