May 1, 2013 Carmine Street Comics opened its doors to all connosseurs of narrative art and the curious public.

Their store shares a space with the long-standing Unopressive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books.

Jon and Mike are good friends and have worked in comics retail for years, so when I proposed the idea of an in-store artist studio, I became their Resident Artist and set in motion the Storefront Artists Program.

While I started off on Ellesaur Thursdays, then Fridays, and taught Saturday drawing workshops, my schedule is now much more fluid, but relatively frequent.
