Farewell Be Not Forever

Delivered by Letters of Love
This was my third year participating in (and winning!) National Novel Writing Month. As in previous years, I chose my writing prompt based on the group art exhibit I'll be participating in and co-curating.

Taking part in NaNoWriMo is more of a personal challenge, where you "win" by writing 50, 000 words during the month of November. While I allowed myself to include a few stories this time, treating it more as a themed collection, the central narrative is The Haunts of Granville Hall, about a magical school with a magical library, into which one of the students disappeared. One day, his classmate Isabelle writes a letter of farewell and sticks it between the books on a shelf... only to be surprised when Michael replies! They begin a correspondence, then go on many adventures together, all while seeking a way to release him from the library's spell.

For the art exhibit, I will be exhibiting illustrations from the story, along with a mailbox for sending messages to loved ones!
